General Safe Use
Keep out of reach of children & livestock
Personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Chemical-resistant gloves (nitrile, neoprene, or butyl rubber)
- Long sleeves, long pants, closed-toe boots, socks
- Safety glasses or goggles — product is corrosive to eyes
- NIOSH dual-cartridge respirator if local ventilation is inadequate
- Wash hands and face thoroughly before eating, drinking, or smoking
Environmental stewardship
- Do not apply directly to water or where surface water is present
- Hexazinone is mobile in soil — do not apply where runoff is likely
- Triple-rinse empty containers and dispose per local regulations
- Some states require a commercial applicator's license — verify before application
